Building the Future Together: Future Cast Leads CoHER
Back from Lublin, Poland — and filled with inspiration!
Last month, the Future Cast team had the pleasure of joining our CoHER partners in Lublin for three days of intensive collaboration, learning, and exchange. Hosted by our Polish colleagues, the mobility combined hands-on workshops, gender-inclusive teaching simulations, and piloting of new digital training tools. These sessions reminded us why international cooperation matters: by bringing diverse experiences to the table, we learn faster, see clearer, and build solutions that work for everyone. Beyond the professional growth, we also felt warmly welcomed into the cultural and community life of Lublin — a true reminder of the strength of partnership.
As the coordinator of ConstructHer Future (CoHER), Future Cast has the honour of guiding this ambitious Erasmus+ project. The mission could not be closer to our hearts: transforming construction into an inclusive field where women are supported, recognised, and celebrated. Through our strong Irish mentorship networks and our active Women in Construction Steering Group, we are already working on projects that empower women in traditionally male-dominated sectors. CoHER allows us to bring that commitment onto the European stage, combining technical innovation with social change and building sustainable pathways for women in vocational education and training.
One of the biggest milestones ahead is the launch of the CoHER digital platform — a collaborative hub designed to connect trainers, learners, and industry professionals across Europe. This platform will be more than a website: it will be a living resource, hosting online courses for trainers and students, toolkits and best practices, mentorship frameworks, and success stories from across the partnership. It will also provide a collaborative space where ideas, challenges, and solutions can be shared, helping us to move from isolated efforts to a collective movement.
