Overview

This course will provide learners with the fundamentals of 3D construction printing including the equipment, the processes, the materials, the opportunities, and limitations of the printer.

The course is suitable for:

Architects, Construction and Structural Engineers, Contractors, Operatives, Managers, Maintenance in the construction and engineering sectors. 

Eligibility Criteria:

The course is fully funded under the skills to advance funds, applicable to individuals:

  • Employed in a private sector business.
  • Upskilling must be relevant to the business.
  • Application forms must be signed off by the owner or CFO/CEO managing or financial director, or other authorised financial personnel.

  • History of 3D Construction Printing

  • Science behind the principles of 3D Construction Printing

  • Equipment required for 3D Construction Printing

  • The Materials used in 3D Construction Printing

  • Preparation for the Print (including software)

  • The Process of the Print

  • Cleaning of the equipment

  • Future of 3D Construction Printing

Course Delivery: 

1 Day in Collooney Co Sligo – face to face – lunch provided

Learner Outcomes:

  • A basic grounding in 3D Construction Printing

  • An awareness of the importance of materials in the process

  • Enhanced knowledge on the Printing Process

  • Awareness of its current application, case study and the potential for its application in Ireland

Certification:

Learners will be issued with a Future Cast Certificate of Attendance after completion.
