Green Accelerator Skills Programme (GRASP) Action Plan!
Exciting News:
We are thrilled to announce our involvement in the Green Accelerator Skills Programme (GRASP) Action Plan! This initiative, one of the five visionary projects awarded PEACEPLUS funding, marks a significant step toward creating green skills, inclusivity, and sustainable career paths across Northern Ireland and Ireland’s border counties.
What is GRASP All About?
Through GRASP, we aim to provide equal access to inclusive, high-quality education, training, and lifelong learning. Our mission is to empower communities by offering a diverse range of training programmes aligned with the green economy, sustainability goals, and social inclusion.
Key Highlights of GRASP
Here’s what GRASP has in store for regional skills and sustainability:
Two Green Skills Academies: These will offer dedicated programmes for Women in Construction and Labour Activation, expanding career opportunities in the green sector.
Residential Carbon Literacy Programme: Immerse yourself in sustainability education with a hands-on, residential learning experience focused on carbon literacy.
Green Apprenticeships & Future-Ready Skills: Cross-cutting activities will support apprenticeships that equip participants with the skills needed to thrive in a sustainable future.
Collaboration for Impact
Led by South West College and supported by a remarkable network of partners including Southern Regional College, North West Regional College (NWRC), Atlantic Technological University, Donegal ETB, CMETB, and more, GRASP is primed to transform skills development and boost green sector employment across the region.
Funded by PEACEPLUS and SEUPB
Thanks to funding from PEACEPLUS and the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB), this initiative dives deep into the strength of cross-border collaboration and a shared commitment to progress and sustainability.
