Our EU Partners on the Creative Communities First (CCF) ProjectÂ
Future Cast and the W8 Centre are collaborating with partners from across the European Union on the Creative Communities First project, a transformative initiative aimed at promoting diversity, innovation, and inclusion in creative industries, particularly within the construction sector. The project’s focus is on empowering underrepresented groups, especially women, in male-dominated fields like 3D construction. By working alongside Vocational Education and Training (VET) centres, educational institutions, and various EU organisations, the project aims to address the existing gender disparities while creating social inclusion and community empowerment.
At its core, Creative Communities First seeks to provide individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to transition from education into the workforce, particularly in construction-related pathways. This aligns with the overarching goal of supporting trades education, promoting gender equality, and driving innovation in the digital and construction industries. The project will establish effective communication channels, foster trust among stakeholders, and create new institutional frameworks to support these ambitious goals.
Through training programmes, workshops, and knowledge-sharing platforms, the project aims to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical application, empowering participants with tangible skills for their future careers. Importantly, this initiative will contribute to building resilient, gender-balanced communities, reflecting Future Cast’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
By creating these resources, Future Cast and its partners in the Creative Communities First project are taking meaningful steps to address industry challenges while fostering a more inclusive, innovative, and skilled workforce across Europe.
