Erasmus+ Program Approves Funding for WICEPS Project to Empower Women in the 3D Construction Industry!

Future Cast and Asociación Building Bridges are thrilled to announce that our project, ‘Women in Construction: Empowering Skills and Presence in the 3D Construction Industry’ (WICEPS), has been approved for funding by the Erasmus+ program, an initiative by the European Union.

The WICEPS project aims to enhance the presence, knowledge, and empowerment of women in the 3D construction industry, facilitating their transition from education to the workforce. This initiative aligns with the priority of “Inclusion and Diversity in All Areas of Education, Training, Youth and Sport” and seeks to address the challenges women face in entering this field. Our specific objectives include training women in the 3D construction industry, promoting professional development of adult trainers and teachers, enhancing digital sector-specific skills, and increasing the number of women in the 3D construction industry, among others.

We are committed to creating a series of resources to achieve these goals, including a website with a bank of resources, a MOOC for adult women about 3D construction and digital sector-specific skills, onsite workshops, training for adult teachers on 3D construction supported by Virtual Reality, and more.

Our target groups are adult women interested in the 3D construction industry, teachers, trainers, 3D construction companies, education centres, VET centres, and Women’s associations.

We believe that a diverse workforce is the best workforce. The WICEPS project aims to increase the presence of women in the 3D construction field by empowering them through online training, the creation of new teaching methodologies, and mentoring programmes.
